Class of 2024

In September 2024 a panel of five people – Colin Bradbury, Dave Deacon, Matt Hall, Robin Netherton and John Noble were asked by Truro City Football Club to select ten people worthy of going in to the TCFC Hall of Fame with three people being announced on Saturday 5th October 2024 as the first inductees to the HoF for the club’s 135th birthday celebrations.

Ash, Jake – Superman made 394 appearances for TCFC and won the FA Vase in 2007.

Bertolucci, Joe – Played for TCFC for over a decade in the 1920’s and 1930’s, scored over 140 goals and won 8 honours for the club including our very first league title in 1932!

Broad, Joe – Made 348 appearances for TCFC, scored in the final at Wembley to help City win the 2007 FA Vase.

Chegwyn, Colin – Scored over 100 goals and was part of TCFC’s double winning side in 1970. His honours include the SWL title in 1970, two Cornwall Senior Cups, the SWL Cup in 1967 and the Cornwall Charity Cup in 1965.

Dillon, Vince – Scored over 100 goals in all competitions for TCFC back in the 1950’s.

Imrie, Neil – Scored over 100 goals for TCFC, winning both the Cornwall Senior Cup and the SWL Cup in 1967 and the Cornwall Charity Cup in 1965.

Jefferies, Harold – Generally regarded as Cornwall’s best centre-half, Harold helped City win their first SWL Championship in 1961, he also won the Cornwall Senior Cup twice, the South Western League Cup twice and the Cornwall Charity Cup once in 1965.

Kirkup, Graeme – Graeme was the captain of the 1993 South Western League and Cup double winning side.

Leonard, Dave – The man responsible for the 2007 FA Vase final win at Wembley also won two league titles and two Cornwall Senior Cups as manager and finished with a win percentage of 84.95%!

Massey, Steve – Mass scored over 70 goals in all competitions as a TCFC player and ended Truro’s league title drought when after 23 years he masterminded a championship winning side in 1992-1993 as player-manager to add to the South Western League Cup that he and Truro also won that season.

Netherton, Robin – Was the Chairman of the Supporters Club for a total of 28 years.

Oates, J. R. – Scored 35 goals in a single season just in the Cornwall Senior Cup.

Smith, Tom – TCFC’s FA Vase winning captain at Wembley in 2007. Also won three league titles and three Cornwall Senior Cups in just four seasons!

Steer, Basil – Scored over 100 goals for TCFC and helped win our first South Western League championship in 1961. Also won the Cornwall Senior Cup in 1959 and the SWL Cup in 1960.

Stevens, Damian – Scored over 100 goals in all competitions for TCFC, winning three South Western League titles and two Cornwall Senior Cups along the way.

Tabb, Steve – Scored over 70 goals in 11 seasons for the club when TCFC weren’t at their best in the late 1970’s and 1980’s.

Wardle, Johnny – Scored over 100 goals in all competitions in 7 seasons and was part of the double winning side in 1970. His honours at Truro include the SWL title in 1970, two Cornwall Senior Cups and the SWL Cup in 1967.

Watkins, Andy – Scored 142 goals in all competitions for TCFC and won FA Vase in 2007. Also won four league titles, two Cornwall Senior Cups and the Southern League Championship.

Wherry, Steve – First player to reach 200 goals for TCFC. Won three SWL championships, two Cornwall Senior Cups and one SWL Cup.

Wills, Kevin – Scored two goals in TCFC’s 3-1 FA Vase win at Wembley in 2007 which earned him his nickname of Kevin ‘Both Ends’ Wills. Also won two league championships and three Cornwall Senior Cups.

Yetton, Stewart – TCFC’s record goal scorer with 232 goals, has various other club records such as 72 goals in a single season and won the FA Vase in 2007, four league titles, three Cornwall Senior Cups and the Southern League Championship in 2011.
