Ever since former owner and businessman Kevin Heaney sold the ground in 2012, Truro City Football Club’s tenure at their traditional home, Treyew Road was on borrowed time…
New Stadium Timeline

29 Oct 2021 – The Stadium for Cornwall team asks for you to bear with us while we work behind the scenes to deliver the Stadium we all desire, starting with ground access, the football pitch and phasing developments as funds allow.
We will be quieter on social media while we concentrate on getting land transferred from the Council and approvals for the funding package to commence work as soon as possible. Over the years many promises have been made, and expectations raised.
So much work has been done already but without full backing of the Council we cannot get started. Without the full backing of the Council, private funders and central Government, we cannot finish. We will develop a new timeline for the whole project which is realistic and achievable.
We will not falter in our ambition to deliver the Stadium you deserve.
24 Jun 2022 – The Stadium for Cornwall project is most likely dead in the water after Cornwall Council leader Linda Taylor announced there was no money in the budget for it. The Stadium at Langarth, outside Truro, received planning approval years ago but has remained in limbo since and not a single brick has been laid down at the proposed site.
14 Jul 2022 – The new Lidl store opens on Treyew Road, Truro.
