“He played against Argyle in a friendly, Brian Bason complains to his manager Malcolm Allison, who went in the changing room to tell the referee Ray Rowe to stop letting that blonde haired thug from hurting his player. Ray said Tabby’s doing nothing wrong, so Allison slammed the door and subbed Bason, who years later came to Truro and took over the Globe pub and played for Truro City.”

“I seem to remember Tabby taking out Sivebaek with a strong challenge in the Man U game. There is also a story I was told about a Falmouth game in 1997. Truro had played at Falmouth and were back at Treyew Road and a load of Falmouth fans turned up to cause trouble and Tabby waded into them and they retreated.”
